HOSA Students Compete at State
Wilco students, members of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization, traveled to Decatur, IL last weekend for the State Convention and Competition. Any student placing 1st or 2nd at state are eligible to compete at Nationals in June in Orlando, FL. The following students placed in the top 10 in their events: Muroo Hamed, Plainfield East, 1st Place and National qualifier in Clinical Specialty, 6th place in Prepared Speaking; Erica Moyes, Plainfield Central, 2nd place and National qualifier in Home Health Aide; Audrey Folk, Plainfield South, 4th place in Public Health, Kendall Cunningham, Plainfield South, 10th place in Community Awareness; Emily Thomas, Plainfield North, 10th place, Home Health Aide; Sarah Toth, Plainfield South, 4th place, Publice Health and 10th place in Community Awareness; Kelly Smith, Plainfield East, 5th place in Clinical Specialty and 8th place in Creative Problem Solving; Steven Ustupski, Lemont, 8th place in Creative Problem Solving; Gianna Fox, Plainfield East, 8th place in Creative Problem Solving; Sarah Paetsch, Romeoville, 8th place in Creative Problem Solving; Lauren Werth, Lockport, 5th place in Home Health Aide; Michelle Kula, Lockport, 10th place in Health Care Display; and Kaci Svornik, Lockport, 10th place in Health Care Display.
