Wilco Students earn Illinois HOSA State Conference Awards

Seven students pursuing a career in Health Professions and attending Wilco Area Career Center have recently been named recipients of Illinois HOSA State Conference Awards during the Illinois state competition on February 16-18.  Each of the students – Romeoville, Areli Rosas (11), Jeremiah Teodoro (12), Jessica Cecchi (12), Annabella Picchi (12), Plainfield South, Briana Cruz Munoz (11), Bolingbrook, Danielle Louise Vidad (12), and Lockport, Megan Kolpacki (12) competed in various categories.  Danielle Louise Vidad, was awarded Top Ten State Qualifier for Medical Spelling, Jeremiah Teodoro, was awarded Top Ten State Qualifier for Cultural Diversity Knowledge Test, Home Health Aide, Community Emergency Response, Jessica Cecchi, was awarded Top Ten State Qualifier for Home Health Aide, Health Career Display, Megan Kolpacki, was awarded Top Ten State Qualifier for Health Career Display and Annabella Picchi, was awarded Top Ten State Qualifier for Healthy Lifestyle entry. Congratulations!

Wilco Area Career Center Introduction to Health Professions Instructor, Mrs. Jeanine Marco shared her congratulations to all team members whom competed in the competition. Mrs. Marco was joined by C.N.A. Instructor, Ms. Amanda Ramsden.  Everyone did an amazing job and should be proud of their accomplishments!
